During the renovation of a country home, the ceiling had to be completely renovated because of termite infestation. Before installing the new eucalyptus beams they were placed in the hot air chamber of Mata Bicho and duly treated with WOODBLISS -- biological wood protector – to protect against parasites. The canes are fastened to the beams and a layer of insulation permeable to air vapour is applied, thermal insulation is applied (such as cork or wood fibre sheeting), under roof mat and shingles. The walls were equipped with copper ducts, which connect to the solar panel and are used for heating; they were covered with aerial lime plaster.
